TIPS: Set the default bend radius for Sheetmetal part

TIPS: Set the default bend radius for Pro/E Sheetmetal part

Version: 2001, Wildfire, Wildfire 2.0 & Wildfire 3.0

Pro/ENGINEER takes the default bend radius side and bend radius dimension from Sheetmetal parameters whenever a bend is created. The default bend is always inside radius type with the thickness value as radius. To get a specific value of bend radius, you will need to do some setting in Sheetmetal parameter.

To setup these parameters, go to Edit>Setup> and select Sheetmetal parameters in the menu manager
(For 2001 user, select setup>Sheetmetal>parameters in the menu manager)

Next, Sheetmetal parameter dialog box appears and you can now set the default values here. To set the bend radius, look for parameter named SMT_DFLT_BEND_RADIUS and key in your desire value.

** Please note that for Inside radius type, the minimum bend radius is 0; for outside radius type, the minimum value would be the thickness.
